Kestone shall respond to requests for deletion of data under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which comes into force in May 2018. Mentioned below is the scope and responsibilities of Kestone while responding to such requests.

  1. When does the right to erasure apply?

    As stipulated in the GDPR, individuals have a right to have personal data erased and to prevent processing in specific circumstances:

    1. Where the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was originally collected/processed;
    2. When the individual withdraws consent;
  2. How can data be deleted?

    A Technology Head (an individual user acting on behalf of their organization) can delete data from the server.

    1. Where the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was originally collected/processed; - Time frame 60 working days from the event end date or as per specific signed policy agreement with client
    2. When the individual withdraws consent; - Within 7 Working days
    3. This data which is deleted from server that cannot be recovered by any users or employees after this point.
